FHCEIAA Scholarship Guidelines

  • Congratulations to the 2024 FHCEIAA Scholarship Recipients:  

    • Awarded three scholarships this year to:  Emily McLaughlin, Matthew Miller and Megan Zeller.​

    • Professional scholarship awarded to:  John Mammano.

​

  • The FHCEIAA Scholarship Program provides three $1,500 scholarships per year for members dependent children or grandchildren as well as members being able to apply for a $2,000 professional development scholarship.

​

  • Scholarship eligibility: The annual scholarship will be awarded to the son, daughter or dependent grandchild of an FHCEI Alumnus for studies in a baccalaureate or post-graduate program.

​

  • Scholarships will not be awarded to a student who is attending a Service Academy, receiving an ROTC scholarship, or receiving a "full" academic or athletic scholarship.

​

  • Students awarded an annual FHCEI Alumni Association scholarship may compete for consecutive annual scholarships, but must submit a new application each year.

​

  • Applicants must complete and submit the Application Form below (use this form only), along with an essay and one letter of reference.

​

  • Selection Criteria: The annual FHCEIAA Scholarship will be awarded based on a one typewritten page essay that focuses on the following factors:

    • Why do you want this scholarship?

    • Current career plan

    • Please identify past or present extracurricular and/or community service activities and leadership positions held

    • How extracurricular and/or community service activity involvement and leadership positions prepare you for future challenges and to achieve your career plan

  • The FHCEIAA Executive Committee will appoint a Scholarship Selection Board who will review all application and recommend a scholarship recipient to the Executive Committee

​

Application for consideration for award in a given calendar year should be sent no later than July 1 to: president@fhceiaa.org (or if you'd rather mail it, contact us via this address for an address).
